Privacy Policy

SecurePath VPN exists to protect your privacy — so it would make no sense to undermine it. This policy explains exactly what we do and, just as importantly, what we deliberately never do with your data.

The short version: We run a strict no-logs VPN. We do not track, store or monitor your browsing history, traffic destinations, data content or IP address. We collect only the minimal, non-identifying information needed to keep the app running and free, we never sell your personal data, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at any time.

01Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how SecurePath VPN ("SecurePath", "we", "us" or "our") handles information in connection with the SecurePath VPN mobile application for Android, our websites and related services (together, the "Service"). It applies to everyone who downloads, installs or uses the Service.

By using SecurePath VPN, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.

02Our No-Logs Promise

Privacy is the entire point of a VPN, and it is the foundation of how SecurePath is built. We operate a strict no-logs policy. Specifically:

We DO NOT track, store, or monitor your browsing history, traffic destinations, data content, or IP addresses. The traffic that passes through the SecurePath tunnel is yours alone.

Because we never record this information, we have nothing to expose in a data breach, nothing to sell to advertisers, and nothing meaningful to hand over if we receive a legal request. Our VPN servers are designed to operate from volatile memory (RAM) and retain no record of your activity after a session ends.

03What We Never Collect

To be unambiguous, while you are connected to SecurePath VPN we do not log, record or store:

  • Your browsing or DNS request history
  • The websites, services or destinations you connect to
  • The content, files or data transmitted through the VPN tunnel
  • Your originating ("real") IP address or the VPN IP assigned to your session
  • Connection timestamps tied to your identity, or session duration logs used to profile you
  • Bandwidth logs that could be used to monitor what you do online

04What We Do Collect

To keep the app stable, secure and free to use, we collect a small amount of non-identifying, operational information. This is never linked to your online activity.

a. App performance & diagnostics

We collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports and performance metrics — such as app version, device model, operating system version, and whether a connection attempt succeeded or failed. This helps us find bugs and improve reliability. These diagnostics do not reveal what you do online.

b. Third-party SDK data

Our free, ad-supported tier relies on third-party software development kits (SDKs) for analytics and advertising. These partners — including Firebase (Google), Google AdMob and the Meta (Facebook) SDK — may collect device identifiers and app-level analytics (for example, advertising IDs, app events and approximate, coarse location for ad relevance). See Section 5 for the full list.

These advertising and analytics partners operate only at the app level. They do not have access to your VPN traffic or browsing activity, which remains encrypted and unlogged inside the tunnel.

c. Support communications

SecurePath VPN is completely free and requires no account, sign-up or payment, so we hold no billing, subscription or payment information about you. If you choose to contact our support team, we keep the email address and the messages you send us only for as long as needed to respond and help you.

05Third-Party Services

We work with a limited set of trusted providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them. The table below summarizes how each is used.

ProviderPurposeData involved
Firebase (Google)Crash reporting, analytics, push messagingApp events, device & OS info, instance identifiers
Google AdMobServing ads on the free tierAdvertising ID, ad interactions, coarse location
Meta (Facebook) SDKAnalytics & ad attributionAdvertising ID, app events

These partners may act as independent controllers of the limited app-level data they receive. To repeat the key point: none of them can see inside your encrypted VPN tunnel.

06How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect strictly to:

  • Operate, maintain and secure the VPN service
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs and improve performance and stability
  • Display and measure the advertising that keeps the app free
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate important service notices
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security incidents
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

Where we rely on consent (for example, for personalized advertising), our legal basis under the GDPR is your consent. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure, reliable and free service.

07Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: with the third parties listed in Section 5, solely to provide the functions described.
  • Legal requirements: if required by valid legal process. Because we keep no activity logs, we cannot produce browsing history, traffic data or originating IP addresses — there is simply no such data to disclose.
  • Business transfers: if SecurePath is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and any successor will remain bound by this policy.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.

08Data Retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Anonymous diagnostic data is retained in aggregate. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and a reasonable period afterward. Because we do not log your VPN activity, there is no browsing or connection history to retain or delete.

09Security

We protect your connection with AES-256 encryption and modern protocols including WireGuard®, OpenVPN and IKEv2/IPsec. Our server fleet is designed to run from RAM, so no activity is written to disk. We apply industry-standard safeguards to our systems, but no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time (for example, for personalized ads)
  • Request a portable copy of your data
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@securepathvpn.org. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law. Note that because of our no-logs design, we often hold very little — or no — personal information about you to begin with.

11Advertising Choices

SecurePath VPN is free, and non-intrusive ads are what keep it that way. You can limit personalized advertising at any time:

  • On Android: open Settings → Privacy → Ads and select "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
  • Within the app, adjust your advertising and consent preferences at any time.

Opting out of personalization does not remove ads, but it limits the data used to tailor them. We do not sell your personal data, and we honor recognized opt-out signals where required by law.

12Children's Privacy

SecurePath VPN is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

13International Data Transfers

SecurePath operates a global server network, and the limited information we and our providers process may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

14Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
